Nonostante i suoi effetti benefici, non bisogna comunque eccedere nel consumo, aumentare le quantità giornaliere di vitamina C raccomandate non ha alcun effetto benefico sul corpo. Un altro argomento controverso riguarda il problema legato al consumo immediato della spremuta d’arancia.
Si è sempre sostenuto che la spremuta debba essere consumata immediatamente perché tende ad ossidarsi rapidamente. Uno studio condotto dalla dottoressa Patricia Murphi ha
ribaltato questa convinzione, affermando che la spremuta
conserva inalterate le sue proprietà, perché continua a contenere acido deidroascorbico anche per 12 ore,
conservata in frigo.

Portare a bollore l’acqua dentro una pentola, spegnere il fuoco, unire le scorze d’arancia e la cannella, coprire e lasciare in infusione 10 minuti. Filtrare ,quindi, il contenuto, versare nella
tazza e gustare calda. Può essere addolcita con del miele o dello zucchero di canna ( facoltativo).
